What is the Game of Love?

You were born into a game you didn’t choose, with rules you didn’t agree to. We call it the Game of Power.

The Game of Power is the interconnected system of Patriarchy, Imperialism, Colonialism, and Capitalism — built on hierarchy, dominance, and control. It uses power-over logic to perpetuate itself, and reward those who perpetuate it. This game is historically recent, no more than 10,000 years old, yet it shapes nearly every institution, relationship, and assumption about how life works.

For most of human history — the other 290,000 years — we lived differently. Hunter-gatherer societies operated through what anthropologists call reverse-dominance hierarchies: communities that actively suppressed any would-be dominant individual who tried to place themselves above others. Collaboration, care, and long-term sustainability were the organizing values. That’s not a utopia — it’s our nature.

The Game of Power runs on the inertia of mass acceptance. Which means its greatest vulnerability is also mass refusal — and mass change has the power to change the game itself.

A new game is possible.

The Game of Love is the alternative. Not a retreat from the world, but a different way of playing in it — one built on explicit agreements, conscious relationships, and the radical idea that love is a strategy, not just a feeling.

We’re creating a collection of apps, assessments, tools, and activities that turn your life into more of a game, except the stakes — and rewards — are real.

This is just the beginning, with everything still in early alpha stage. We’re starting with the relationships closest to you — romantic partners, housemates, friends, collaborators — and building outward from there.
